Yamaha India has launched its OBD-2-compliant versions of the Yamaha MT-15, FZ-S FI, FZ-X, and R15 M. The new MT-15 V2, R 15 V4, FZ-S FI V4, and FZ-X cost Rs 1.68 lakh, Rs 1.82 lakh, Rs 1.27 lakh, and Rs 1.37 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The updated motorcycles are now equipped with an Onboard Diagnostic Device (OBD) to comply with the BS6 Phase II emission norms in real-world conditions. The new emission norms will come into effect from April 1, 2023. Fundamentally, the latest iterations of these bikes are packed with updated engines, advanced technologies, and new features. The entire portfolio of Yamaha motorcycles now gets Traction Control System (TCS) as a standard feature.

Yamaha MT-15 V2
The second version of the Yamaha MT-15 has a new dual-channel ABS setup with Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from Traction Control System as standard, the new MT-15 comes with LED turn indicators, upside-down front forks, LED flashers, an assist-and-slip clutch, an advanced LCD meter, Revs Dashboard, and more. The 2023 MT-15 uses a 155cc engine with VVA (Variable Value Actuation) to generate power.
The Yamaha MT-15 V2 costs Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is offered in four different colour options – Cyan Storm, Racing Blue, Metallic Black Deluxe, and Ice Fluo Vermillion.
Yamaha FZ-X
The new Yamaha FZ-X is a ride-free concept bike, which can be enjoyed on open roads. It has a neo-retro design with bi-functional LED headlamps, integrated daytime running lights, LED taillight, LCD meter, Traction Control System, and LED turn indicators for better visibility, along with golden wheel trims. Powered by a 149cc FI engine, the 2023 FZ-X has a starting price of Rs 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Other notable features include a two-level seat with tuck and roll, a power socket for mobile charging, call alerts, telescopic suspension with front fork boots, and more. It is available in Dark Matte Blue, Matte Copper, and Matte Black colours.
Yamaha R15 M V4
The 2023 Yamaha R15 M gets a new R1-inspired TFT meter, along with LED flashers, upside-down front forks, and a super wide radial rear tyre. Weighing 141kgs, it has an aerodynamic design and is powered by a 155cc FI engine with VVA. Besides TCS, it also gets a 'Quicker Shifter System', which is standard for the R15 M and the R14 V4 QS versions.
Available in Metallic Grey, the Yamaha R15 M costs Rs 1.94 lakh, while the R15 V4 starts at Rs 1.82 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The fourth version of the R15 comes in Racing Blue, Dark Knight, and Metallic Red.

Yamaha FZ-S FI V4
The fourth version of the Yamaha FZ-S FI comes with a new brighter LED headlight, an advanced LCD meter console with Y-Connect, and sleek LED flashers, along with the Traction Control System. It draws its power from a 149cc FI engine. Priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new FZ-S FI V4 is available in three colour options – Metallic Black, Metallic Grey, and Majesty Red.
For the FZ FI V3, buyers have to shell out Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The third version comes only in Metallic Black and Racing Blue colours.
By the end of 2023, all Yamaha bikes, according to the two-wheeler company, will be compatible with E20 fuel (a blend of 20 per cent ethanol with 80 per cent gasoline).
