The 2023 Xtreme 160R from the house of Hero MotoCorp has been spied testing on Indian roads, hinting that the motorcycle is coming soon. The updated Hero Xtreme 160R was recently spotted with USD (upside-down) front forks and a few design changes. However, the changes were shrouded in camouflage. The latest Xtreme 160R is expected to take on the Bajaj Pulsar NS160. Apart from USD front forks, the new Xtreme 160R is expected to come with a muscular grab rail and offer new colours. Price-wise, the latest Hero Xtreme 160R is anticipated to cost a bit higher than the existing model. Here's what can be expected from the upcoming and new Hero Xtreme 160R.
2023 Hero Xtreme 160R: Expected Design
The refreshed model is likely to carry LED headlights and taillights, LED turn indicators, a stepped-up seat, a gear position indicator, a side-mounted exhaust, a high-set handlebar, and hazard light function. Besides, it will house a muscular tank with extensions and an updated digital instrument cluster with connected technology such as negative LCD. It will run on 17-inch blacked-out wheels.

2023 Hero Xtreme 160R: Expected Powertrain, Performance
The engine on the latest Hero Xtreme 160R could potentially be a 163cc single-cylinder, air-cooled mill that puts out 15bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
2023 Hero Xtreme 160R: Expected Suspension & Braking
The 2023 Xtreme 160R motorcycle is built around a tubular diamond-type frame. According to latest spy images, it is suspended with the help of upside-down forks at the front (instead of telescopic forks) and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. In terms of braking, the bike is expected to be equipped with disc brakes at both ends. Meanwhile, there is also a possibility of the new bike getting a single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) with a rear optional disc brake.
The updated Xtreme 160R's kerb weight could go up to around 138 kilograms, making it one of the lightest bikes in the 160cc segment. Its fuel storage capacity stands at 12 litres.

2023 Hero Xtreme 160R: Expected Price, Rival
According to some reports, the latest Hero Xtreme 160R is anticipated to command a slight premium of around Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 over the existing model, which is currently priced between Rs 1.17 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the updated bike could lock horns with the Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
