For a long time, Indian bike enthusiasts have been waiting for the revamped Triumph Street Triple line. For starters, the market introduction of the 2023 Triumph Street Triple Range was about to happen in our market a few months ago, but due to some unnamed reasons, it was delayed. In a recent development, the two-wheeler maker has disclosed that the Street Triple collection will finally enter our market on June 16. Triumph opened bookings for the lineup at Rs 50,000 in December 2022. The manufacturer will introduce the Street Triple R and the RS variants in India. The limited-edition Moto2 model will not be available in our market. In terms of changes over the predecessors, the 2023 range sports cosmetic enhancements and new features. 2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS: Engine & Gearbox
There are two 2023 Triumph Street Triple models available: R and RS. A 765cc three-cylinder engine drives both variants. There is a distinction in the power figures, though. While the RS variant only produces 128bhp, the R version generates 118bhp. From their respective predecessors, the RS model now delivers an additional 7bhp, meanwhile, the R variant currently offers 2bhp of extra power output. The engine's maximum torque remains constant at 80Nm. Further, a 6-speed gearbox with Triumph Shift Assist is used for the transmission.
2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS: Hardware & Features
Moving to the hardware, the hardware on the R model remains unchanged. It continues with the same front monobloc Brembo M4.32 callipers and Showa adjustable suspension at both ends. However, on the RS, a fully adjustable 41mm Showa Big Piston fork and an Ohlins STX40 monoshock do the suspension chores. Brembo Stylema callipers, are now used for this model's braking system. Four riding modes—Rain, Road, Sport, and Rider (completely configurable)—are available with the R model. Besides these, the RS variant also gets a Track mode. Features-wise, both variants get traction control and cornering ABS. While the R variant has an LCD screen, the RS model sports a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster.
2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS: Appearance
Several aesthetic improvements have been made to the 2023 Triumph Street Triple lineup. The motorcycle is more sporty than its predecessor, thanks to the inclusion of a revised fly screen, a contoured fuel tank, a taller tail section, and an altered fuel tank extension. Aside from this, the revamped motorcycle weighs 166kg and has a fuel capacity of 17.4 litres. The R variant will be available in two paint options: Silver Ice and Crystal White. On the other hand, the RS model will be accessible in three hue choices: Cosmic Yellow, Carnival Red, and Silver Ice.

2023 Triumph Street Triple R, Street Triple RS: Price, Rivals and Market Availability
Prices of the 2023 Triumph Street Triple will be announced shortly in our market. Several industry reports claim that the R variant may cost roughly Rs 10 lakh, and the RS version could be priced around Rs 12 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. After the launch, the motorcycle range will compete against the BMW F 900 R, the Kawasaki Z900, the Ducati Monster, and others.
