2023 Triumph Street Triple 765: Engine
The 2023 Triumph Street Triple range is still powered by the same 765cc, inline-three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, but it has been modified to render additional power. This has been achieved by using new pistons, connecting rods, a shorter intake, and a new camshaft. The liquid-cooled motor on the Street Triple 765 R now produces 80Nm of maximum torque at 9,500rpm and 118.4bhp of power at 11,500rpm. In contrast, the higher-spec Street Triple RS version with a similar unit cranks out 80Nm of maximum torque at 9,500rpm and 128.2bhp of peak power at 12,000rpm, exhibiting an increase of 6bhp. With the use of a slip-and-assist clutch, a 6-speed gearbox transmits power to the back wheel.
2023 Triumph Street Triple 765: Hardware
The new gullwing swingarm that rides on Showa's 41mm upside-down front forks is another modification Triumph made to the new Street Triple's chassis. Showa supplies the rear suspension for the R model, while Ohlins is used for the RS version. The top-of-the-line RS variant comprises Brembo Stylema anchors, which include a 220mm rear disc and twin 310mm front discs with four-piston radial callipers. The brakes on both versions are of Brembo.
