The popular Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 – like its sibling, the Continental GT 650 – has been updated for 2023 with an LED headlight, new switchgear, and new alloy wheels. The prices for the bike have increased by Rs 16,000 in comparison to before, starting at Rs 3.03 lakh and going as high as Rs 3.31 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Interceptor 650 has received four new colours and a few new features. Despite the lack of significant updates, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has kept up its popular appeal over time. Bookings for the bikes have started as of today. And as of now, the Continental GT 650's starting price stands at Rs 3.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: What's New?
For 2023, the Interceptor 650 will be available in four colour schemes. For the Interceptor 650, the new line includes two blacked-out variants: Black Ray and Barcelona Blue. These models also feature cast alloy wheels and tubeless tyres as standard, along with a blacked-out engine and exhaust pipes. The Interceptor 650 also receives two new custom colour options – Black Pearl as a dual colourway and Cali Green as a solid colourway. Ventura Blue has now been replaced by Cali Green. But like the current model, the bike will continue to have a chrome-coloured engine and exhausts, wire-spoked wheels, and tubed tyres. Further, the updated Continental continues to use Ceat tyres, while the Interceptor 650 now uses new Vredestein Centuro ST tyres on its alloy wheels. A USB charging port has been added to the left handlebar as a new feature.

In addition to the new colour scheme, Royal Enfield has updated its 650cc motorcycles with cast alloy wheels, which will be shod with tubeless tyres as standard on the blacked-out versions of the Interceptor 650. The bikemaker also stated that all new colourways would include ergonomic and functional features like improved seat comfort, new switchgear, a USB charging port, and a brand-new LED headlamp. Dual-channel ABS is part of the safety net, just like the previous model.
2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650: Mechanical Specifications
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650' is powered by a 647.95cc in-line twin-cylinder engine, which now complies with OBD-2 standards. This means that there will now be an onboard diagnostic system to provide information about emissions. The engine is tuned to produce a peak torque of 52.3Nm at 5150rpm and a maximum power of around 47bhp at 7250rpm and is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
