The much-awaited 2023 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 has been launched in India with several cosmetic enhancements. It costs Rs 3.19 lakh for the base model and Rs 3.45 lakh for the Mr. Clean top-spec version. Further, the updated Continental GT 650 with alloy wheels, is priced at Rs. 3.39 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Mechanically, the Continental GT 650 is unchanged. It has received improvements in terms of new tyres, alloys, and colours. According to market surveys, the redesigned 2023 Continental GT 650 has caught people's attention with its several features over the previous model. A new LED headlight replaces the halogen reflector headlight on the 650cc version of the Continental GT. Aside from this, several modifications have been done to the model. So, without further ado, let's know more about the bike's revamped elements.
2023 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Appearance
The bike maker has added a modern touch to the motorcycle and limited the previous traditional design arrangement. The Super Meteor 650's LED headlamp is borrowed for the Continental GT 650's front end, while the Hunter 350's switchgear has been used. On the left switchgear, it also receives a USB charger. The switchgear now has a rotary dial-type button for the ignition and high/low beams instead of a straightforward rocker switch. Both analogue speedometer and tachometer are now modern compared to the previous version.

Alloy wheels with Apex Grey and Slipstream Blue colour options are among the 2023 Continental GT's other changes. As opposed to the Ceat tyres, new Vredestein tyres are now mounted on the 18-inch wheels. In addition to the cosmetic adjustments, a notable alteration has been made in the available colour schemes. Six colour options are now available for the Continental GT 650: Mr. Clean, Dux Deluxe, Rocker Red, British Racing Green, and two new variants in Alex Gray and Slipstream Blue that are completely blacked out.
2023 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Hardware & Weight
The motorcycle is the same as the previous model in terms of suspension and brakes. The front suspension consists of 41mm forks, and the rear suspension consists of two coil-over shocks. The bike has a front disc measuring 320mm and a rear disc measuring 240mm for braking. However, it gets an update in the form of alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Further, the GT 650 now weighs 214 kg, an increase of 2 kg from the older version.
2023 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Engine Details
As mentioned, the motorcycle is mechanically the same as the older version. It continues with a 648cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp of power at 7,150rpm and 52Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. A 6-speed gearbox comes paired with the air/oil-cooled engine.

2023 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Price & Safety Features
Priced at Rs Rs 3.19 lakh (ex-showroom), the Continental GT 650 is approximately Rs 14,000 costlier than the previous version. The firm has also launched the 2023 Interceptor 650 at a starting price of Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom). It is nearly Rs 17,000 more expensive than the older model in India. The new Continental GT 650 incorporates a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard equipment.
