The 2023 KTM 390 Duke has been spotted again ahead of the launch. In terms of price, the updated KTM 390 Duke is expected to command a huge premium over the current model. Let's take a look at its upcoming features and other specs.
Before its launch in India, the new KTM 390 Duke has been sighted undergoing road testing once again. The test mule of the KTM motorcycle was captured alongside the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, which will reportedly make its entry into the market next year. Right now, there is no official report from KTM, but various market speculations claim that the next-generation 390 Duke will be on display at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan, scheduled for November 2023, with an Indian launch following soon after. Upon launch, the KTM bike will lock horns with the Bajaj Dominar 400, QJ Motor SRK 400, and BMW G 310 R. In terms of price, it is expected to command a hefty premium over its standard model, which is priced at Rs 2.97 lakh (ex-showroom).

As mentioned, the motorbike has been spied before, giving us a clear idea of its design. However, recent spy photos indicate that the bike now has a more aggressive look than the standard version. More details on the bike are expected to pop up soon. Meanwhile, let's take a closer look at the mechanical and feature updates that the motorcycle will come equipped with.
New KTM 390 Duke: Mechanical & Feature Updates
Mechanically, the new 390 Duke will reportedly have the same single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the existing model, but with an increased displacement of 399cc, owing to a modified exhaust system and a redesigned engine case design. Although we don’t yet have the official power and torque numbers, the new engine is expected to deliver more power than the outgoing unit. For comparison, the current bike produces a maximum of 43bhp at 9,000rpm and a maximum of 37Nm at 7,000rpm.
The new-generation 390 Duke could include IMU-based lean-sensitive cornering ABS, traction control, and more best-in-segment features in addition to the functions already included in the current model. Also, the upcoming bike will likely have adjustable suspension on both ends.
