Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2023 Repsol Editions of the Hornet 2.0 and Dio 125 as India prepares to host its inaugural MotoGP race this weekend. These new limited-edition models have been introduced to commemorate the Repsol Honda MotoGP race bikes and will be sold at all Honda Red Wing dealerships across the nation for Rs 1.40 lakh and Rs 92,300 (ex-showroom), respectively. Both Repsol Editions are approximately Rs 1,000 more expensive than their respective standard top-spec model. Commenting on the brand-new launches, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, HMSI, said, ‘Racing is the heart of Honda. Honda Hornet 2.0, Dio 125 Repsol Editions: New Updates
The brand-new Hornet 2.0 Repsol Edition features updated graphics and an aggressive style. It’s available in a dual-tone colour scheme – Ross White and Vibrant Orange – with Repsol racing stripes on the body panels and alloy wheels. The special Dio 125 Repsol Edition also sports the same dual-tone colour. The blacked-out twin-tip muffler adds to its sportiness, while the front design, with an edgy LED headlight and sleek position lighting, elevates the stylistic impression. The Dio Repsol version gets a fully digital instrument dashboard and Honda's Smart Key. It is important to note that the Respole editions of both the Hornet and Dio are powered by the same engine as the original models, without any modifications.
Honda Hornet 2.0, Dio 125 Repsol Editions: Prices and Warranty Details
The new 2023 Repsol Edition Hornet 2.0 is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Dio 125 costs Rs 92,300 (ex-showroom). Both models will be offered with Honda's 10-year warranty package, which includes a 7-year optional warranty program and a three-year standard warranty programme.
Honda Hornet 2.0, Dio 125: Mechanical Specifications
The Dio 125 is powered by a 123.92cc single-cylinder air-cooled OBD2-compliant engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology. Additionally, the performance of the engine is boosted by a Honda ACG starter, greater tumble flow, improved combustion, decreased friction, and solenoid valves. The engine produces 8.16bhp at 6,250rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,000rpm and is coupled to a CVT unit, which directs all the power to the back wheel.
The Hornet 2.0, on the other hand, is powered by a 184.40cc four-stroke single-cylinder BS VI OBD2-compliant PGM-FI engine, which produces a maximum of 17bhp and a maximum torque of 15.9Nm and is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The Hornet 2.0 also features a modified assist and slipper clutch, which enhances rider safety by easing upshifts and preventing rear wheel lock-up during harsh downshifts while braking.

Honda Hornet 2.0, Dio 125: Features
Both the Dio and Hornet 2.0 Repsol Editions are equipped with the same features as the top variants of their standard models. The Honda Dio 125 comes with the Combi-braking System (CBS), an integrated headlight beam, an LED headlamp, an idle start-stop system, a side-stand indicator with an engine inhibitor, a pass switch, and a side-stand indicator. The scooter also gets the H-Smart technology, which includes functions like Smart Start, Smart Find, Smart Unlock, and Smart Safe. However, only the Smart model is available with the H-Smart technology. Other features include an 18-litre under-seat storage compartment and a new digital instrument dashboard, which displays the trip meter, clock, fuel efficiency in real-time, speed, and range.
For the Hornet 2.0, the fully digital liquid crystal instrument panel includes a clock, dual trip meters, a battery voltmeter, a speedometer, an odometer, a tachometer, a gear position indicator, and a service due indicator, among other things. Furthermore, it offers adjustable brightness for better vision day or night.
