Subsequent to the launch of the 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 R in the Indian market, Ducati has now commenced deliveries of the track-focused motorcycle. The Italian manufacturer launched the 2023 iteration of the Panigale V4 R in India in June 2023, with a price tag of Rs 69.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, the motorcycle goes against the BMW M 1000 RR, which is priced at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the high-end supersport motorbike have been underway across the country. Touted as the most powerful production model by Ducati, the 2023 Panigale V4 R gets a twin-pod headlamp assembly, a muscular fuel tank, a rider-only seat, full-fairing, a single-sided swingarm, and aerodynamic winglets. It is also worth noting that the bike comes in a unique MotoGP-inspired livery.
For those unaware, the Panigale V4 R was first showcased in November 2018 at the EICMA show in Milan. At its heart, the motorcycle comes powered by a Desmosedici Stradale, 998cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that cranks out 215bhp at 15,500rpm and 111.3Nm of peak torque at 12,000rpm.

However, the Akrapovic-derived full-race exhaust is claimed to increase the power and torque output to 233bhp at 15,500rpm and 118Nm at 12,250rpm, respectively. The engine of the bike features titanium connecting rods, revised piston geometry, diamond-like carbon surfaced titanium pistons, and modified intake cams for increased durability at higher rpms.
A 6-speed gearbox with the Ducati Quick Shifter is standard, sending power to the wheel. With the sixth gear giving a higher limitation of 16,500rpm, the engine can also rev all the way up to 16,000rpm. Thanks to the racing exhaust system, the motorcycle loses 5 kilograms, tipping the scales at 167 kilograms (dry weight) as against the 172kg with the standard setup.
