The FZS 25 has been updated with new colour options and the motorcycle features a few new accessories as well.
Yamaha India has updated the FZS 25 with new colour schemes. With the updated pain options the 2022 Yamaha FZS 25 has seen a price hike of a marginal Rs 2,000. The price is now marked at Rs 1.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new paint options are copper and black finished in matte. Other than the new paint scheme, the FZS 250 also gets a knuckle guard and a small visor upfront. It appears that Yamaha is transitioning the FZS into an ADV – more on the likes of the Honda CB200 X.
The rest of the mechanicals are the same as before. A 249cc air-cooled motor powers the Yamaha FZS 25 and the power is rated at 20.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm at 6,000rpm. The gearbox is still a five-speed unit. Some key features include a negative LCD display, DRL, and a side-stand engine cut-off system.
The Yamaha FZ 25, on the other hand, has seen no update. The motorcycle is offered in the same two colour options for the price of Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Yamaha FZ 25 and the FZS 25 mainly rival the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Bajaj Dominar 250, Bajaj Puslar N250, And the Husqvarna 250cc twins.
