Kawasaki India has introduced a new colour option for the ZX-10R, which has also seen a nominal price hike.
Kawasaki has updated the ZX-10R with the new colour scheme. Other than the new skin, the motorcycle continues to be the same mechanically; however, the bike has seen a nominal increase in price. The motorcycle is now priced at Rs 15.14 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs15,000 more than its previous pricing. The motorcycle still continues to be the most value-for-money proposition in terms of price-to-performance ratio.
The two paint options are Lime Green and Metallic Diablo Black; the latter is the new addition. The engine is the same 998cc inline-four unit, which develops 200bhp at 13,200rpm. The ram-air intake adds more than 12bhp on the go. The torque figure is 114Nm, which comes in at 11,400rpm. The electronics on offer are the same six-axis IMU-based rider aids.
We expect Kawasaki India to introduce the updated ZX-6R sometime in 2022. The motorcycle has been unveiled for the European markets and might be launched in India, for it was on sale here in the BS4 era.
The brand is yet to update and re-launch the Ninja 400 in the Indian market. The updated motorcycle, which meets the current emission norms, has been on sale overseas for some time now. It's about time Kawasaki India brings back the Ninja 400 in the market again, as KTM will launch the second-gen RC390 sometime next month.
