Bookings for the 2022 Honda Gold Wing are now open at Honda's BigWing Topline dealerships in seven cities across the country.
Honda has brought the 2022 Gold Wing Tour to our shores via the CBU route. It's been launched at ₹39.20 lakh (Ex-showroom, Haryana). Interestingly, this time, the Gold Wing Tour is available exclusively in the dual-clutch automatic (7DCT) + airbag variant and it carries an identical price tag as the 2021 Gold Tour DCT. Bookings for the cruiser motorcycle can either be done online or through Honda's BigWing Topline dealerships in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Indore, Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. There's a single all-black colour scheme on offer – Gunmetal Black Metallic.
If you're wondering why the updated model is priced the same as the MY21 version, that's because the only change on the MY22 model is the colour options – in terms of specifications and feature offerings, the list remains untouched. While Gunmetal Black Metallic was available on the outgoing version, this time, the all-black scheme means a completely blacked-out engine, silencer pipes, exhaust, frame and alloy wheels. Unfortunately, the other new colour schemes of the Gold Wing are not available in India.
The 2022 Gold Wing Tour continues to be powered by a 1,833cc 24-valve liquid-cooled flat-six motor. The engine develops 124.7bhp @ 5,500rpm and 170Nm of torque @ 4,500rpm. In terms of electronic rider aids, the Gold Wing comes equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Throttle by Wire, Dual Combined Brake System (D-CBS), Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), Hill-Start Assist (HSA) and four ride modes (TOUR, SPORT, ECON & RAIN). Being the DCT variant, in addition, it also offers an airbag, Idling Stop (auto Stop/Start) and a forward/back creep function.
Other features that are offered as standard include full-LED lighting (with additional LED fog lamps), 7-inch TFT LCD instrument cluster (with eight brightness-level settings), an updated audio system with passenger controls for volume, forward-seek and source change, gyrocompass-equipped built-in navigation, an electric windscreen, Honda Smart Key, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay/Bluetooth connectivity, two USB Type-C ports, etc.
The Gold Wing Tour's total luggage capacity also remains the same at 121 litres.
