The new Hero Xtreme 160R comes with new paint options and a few additional features.
Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated Xtreme 160R in India. The refreshed model comes with additional features and a few design changes at a starting price of Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the mechanicals has been retained from the outgoing version.
In terms of changes, the motorcycle comes with a new gear position indicator, a reshaped seat and a newly designed external pillion grab rail (unlike the recesses under the pillion seat of the older version).
At its heart, the Xtreme 160R continues to be powered by the same 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that outputs 15hp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The motorcycle is built around a tubular diamond frame and is suspended with the help of telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear.
The motorcycle is now available in three variants – Single Disc priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom), double disc priced at Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and Stealth priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom). All three variants come equipped with single0channel ABS. In the Indian market, the new Xtreme 160R will go up against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-FI, Bajaj Pulsar N160 and Suzuki Gixxer.
