The 2021 TVS Apache RR310 has been updated substantially. The motorcycle now gets upgraded mechanicals, more features and new customisation options.
The TVS Apache RR310 has been updated for the model year 2021 (MY21). The new motorcycle is launched at Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The new pricing is higher by Rs 5,000 over the price of the outgoing Apache RR310 which is marked at Rs 2.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
The along with the hike in the price tag, the Apache RR310 gets a few changes and upgrades as well. The TVS Apache RR310 now gets new colour schemes and the manufacturer gives the option to choose the (optional) red coloured alloy wheels. One more cosmetic update is a personalised race number that TVS will imprint on the visor for their customers should they wish.
The instrument cluster has been updated as well. The vertically stacked TFT screen will now store the important documents on the cluster and on the TVS smartphone app. The interface has been updated as well and the rev-counter with the rev-limit indicator has been redesigned. The new instrument cluster also includes an over speed indication and a day trip meter.
The 2021 Apache RR310 will be sold with a dynamic package that mainly includes an adjustable suspension system on either end. The front up-side-down forks can be adjusted for compression, as well as, rebound. The rear mono-shock gets 20 levels of rebound 10 levels of pre-load.
TVS has worked upon the riding dynamics of the motorcycle as well. The clip-on handlebars have been re-aligned and the rider’s triangle now offers room for a better tuck-in. The rider footpegs have been reworked as well and the overall arrangement offers 4.5 degrees of more cornering clearance. Although, these components will be included in the Apache RR310’s race kit. Existing TVS Apache RR310 customers can purchase these parts and retrofit them on their motorcycles. TVS confirms the race kit is a direct fit on the motorcycle and is compatible with the older Apache RR310 models as well. The exhaust has been reworked as well in turn to offer an improved banking angle. TVS claims to have also engineered the exhaust system for a racier exhaust note and a responsive performance. The motorcycle now gets a brass coated chain as well.
The engine is the same 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit. The state of tune is unchanged and the new Apache RR310 continues to produce 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm. The gearbox is the same six-speed unit that comes equipped with a slipper clutch assembly which is the same as before; However, there is one major update to the engine. TVS has added a dynamic rev-limiter that does not allow you to rev the motorcycle higher unless the engine oil has reached its optimum operating temperature.
Mechanical bits such as the ride-by-wire system, 300mm petal disc brake up front, 240mm disc brake in the rear, 17-inch wheels shod with Michelin ROAD5 tyres have been retained.
The 2021 TVS Apache RR310 will be sold via a smartphone app, that will allow you to configure your motorcycle to your liking. TVS calls this process ‘built-to-order’ and the deliveries will happen at the brand’s premium dealerships. The program will allow its users/customers to even track the motorcycle in the production process.
