Starting in 2021, the entire Ducati Streetfighter V4 range will become Euro 5 compliant. This could potentially make the Streetfighter V4 the next BS6 model from Ducati in India.
Ducati has announced some significant updates for the 2021 Streetfighter V4 range, of which, the most important is the range's Euro 5 compliance, that will come into effect from 2021. The Streetfighter V4 S also benefits from the addition of a new 'Dark Stealth' colour scheme, alongside the standard Ducati Red. The Dark Stealth scheme consists of a matte black finish, giving the V4 S the ultimate all-black look.
Despite the Euro 5 update, Ducati claims the Streetfighter V4 continues to make 205bhp @ 13,000rpm and 123Nm of torque @ 9,500rpm. In comparison to the Euro 4 bike, the figures remain unchanged but have been repositioned to different engine speeds. The Euro 4 bike develops 205bhp at 12,750rpm and 123Nm of torque at 11,500rpm. As a result, the engine redlines at a higher speed than before and all of the torque is now available at considerably lower rpm.
The Euro 5 updates have been incorporated by modifying the Desmosedici Stradale exhaust line as well as the engine calibration. The silencer (visually unchanged) now uses 10mm larger catalysts and the manifolds of the rear bank have been shortened by 100mm and reduced from 42mm to 38mm in diameter, to allow for a more compact rear heat shield. Four lambda probes (one for each cylinder) have also been integrated to reduce emissions and for more controlled fuel injection.
The 2021 Streetfighter V4 range also comes fitted with new self-bleeding front brake and clutch pumps, derived from the Superleggera V4.
