The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is all set to be launched in India and the pre-bookings for the same have commenced at select dealerships. The street-naked motorcycle could debut in the coming months
Ducati dealerships in Mumbai has confirmed the launch of the 2021 Streetfighter V4 and have commenced the bookings for the same. The launch is expected to be held in this quarter i.e sometime before June and by the end of 2021, the Multistrada V4 could hit the showroom floors in India. The pricing of the Streetfighter V4 is expected to be in the Rs 17-18.5 lakh ex-showroom mark.
Speaking of the Ducati Streetfighter V4, the 2021 model (MY21) was showcased internationally back in October 2020 and the motorcycle was made compliant to the Euro 5 emission norms – that equates to the BS6 emission norms in India.
The Streetfighter V4 gets a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, the same unit that powers the Ducati Panigale V4. The power output of this 201kg motorcycle is rated at 205bhp at 13,000rpm and 123Nm of torque at 9,500rpm. Ducati India could also offer a full-system racing performance exhaust by Akrapovič (questionably road-legal) that bumps up the motorcycle’s output up to 217bhp and 130Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox that comes equipped with a two-way quick shifter.
Even with street-naked styling, the Streetfighter V4 gets winglets and sorted out aero package dubbed biplane aerofoils designed by Ducati Corse. The aero package provides 28kg of downforce at 270km/hr. Cycle parts include a Sachs mono-shock on the rear end. The front forks are 43mm Showa upside-down units working that also get a steering damper. The suspension units on either end are fully adjustable. The electronics package includes 6-axis IMU-based rider aids and safety features.
