The latest iteration of Ducati's sporty naked will be brought to our shores in two variants – the Monster and Monster Plus.
Hot on the heels of the SuperSport 950, Ducati India is now gearing up to launch the highly-anticipated 2021 Monster. In fact, the digital launch is set to take place on 23rd September. and we are expecting to ride the bike next month. For now, Ducati has confirmed that we'll get both the Monster and the Monster Plus versions here, and bookings for both variants are now open for ₹1 lakh.
The 2021 Monster was globally revealed in December last year, with some serious changes. Its biggest upgrade is a larger 937cc Testastretta 11° L-twin motor (the same unit that powers the SuperSport & Multistrada 950). The engine puts out 109.4bhp and 93Nm of torque, which is 2bhp and 7Nm more than the preceding Monster 821. Another significant update is the departure of the iconic trellis frame in favour of a Panigale V4-derived aluminium front frame, which bolts directly onto the engine.
Of course, the new Monster is not just about the changes underneath the skin. The 2021 iteration features completely revised styling, which gives it a leaner and meaner look than before.
