Kawasaki India has launched the 2019 model year Ninja 650 in India with a new colour option, there are no mechanical changes to the motorcycle.
Kawasaki has launched the 2019 model year version of its Ninja 650 in India. The only change in this new 2019 model though is the new metallic flat spark black colour and the KRT colour scheme. In January this year, Kawasaki had introduced a new blue shade, this colour has been retained along with the revised colour options until stocks last. KRT Editions of Kawasaki motorcycles draw their inspiration from the Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) and come in a special shade which is a combination of green, grey and black colours.
There are no mechanical changes to the motorcycle otherwise and it continues to be powered by its 649cc parallel twin, 8-valve engine that is good for 7.2bhp of power @ 8,000rpm and 65.7Nm @ 6,500rpm. The engine continues to be mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes with 300mm discs up front and a 220mm disc at the back and gets ABS and slipper clutch as standard.
Prices for the 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 650 remain unchanged at Rs. 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the KRT variant is priced at Rs. 5.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
“With this launch, we are continuing a string of MY19 launches in India. In the 650cc category, we have four distinct motorcycles and Ninja 650 is one of them. We have observed a very stable demand for Ninja 650 in India as it comes at an attractive price. I hope our Ninja 650 in metallic spark black achieves the same success as the other variants have,” said, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors.
