The updated Indian Scout comes with new colour options, a USB port and ABS as standard across all models
Indian Motorcycle has revealed the updated 2019 Scout range in the United States. Changes to the MY2019 Scout aren't many. The refreshed Scout range will now come with new colour options to choose from. Additionally, the company will also provide a USB port on the Scout and the Scout Bobber. Previously, customers could buy this as an accessory for their motorcycles. Indian Motorcycle will also offer ABS as standard on all their 2019 Scout models. In India, however, the Scout has always been available with ABS as standard.
Mechanically, the Indian Scout range remains unchanged. It makes 94 horses and 97Nm from a 1,133cc liquid-cooled v-twin motor. This engine comes paired with a 6-speed transmission. Suspension duties are performed by 120mm telescopic forks up front and 76mm twin shocks at the rear. In line with its nature, the Scout Bobber gets a lower, 50mm rear suspension. The Scout Sixty, on the other hand, is powered by a 999cc V-twin mill that churns out 77bhp and 88Nm.
Although there's not much that can be termed as new in the 2019 Scout range, Indian Motorcycle is expected to launch it in India with the new colours in a few months’ time. In the past few months, the American bikemaker has brought in the uber-cool Rowdmaster Elite and the Chieftain Elite.
