Honda launched the 2018 Goldwing at Rs 26.85 lakh in December 2017
Subsequent to the launch of the Goldwing in December, Honda has now commenced deliveries of the luxury tourer. The Japanese bike maker has delivered 3 units of the motorcycle this weekend. Honda officially unveiled the Goldwing in India at the Auto Expo 2018.
First showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, the new Goldwing is lighter than its predecessor. That being said, the massive dimensions and the imposing stance remains on this new-generation model too. Keeping in sync with the latest trends, Honda has fitted the new Goldwing with a long list of equipment including Apply CarPlay - first time ever in a motorcycle. Other features include a smart key, a 7-inch TFT screen and electrically adjustable windscreen.
The 2018 Goldwing gets a 1,833cc six-pot motor that produces 125bhp and 170Nm. With the 2018 iteration bring 48kg lighter than the model it replaces, it is safe to assume that it will deliver better performance. Although internationally the Goldwing comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT, in India Honda has only brought in the latter. The Honda Goldwing competes against the Indian Roadmaster and the Harley Davidson CVO.
