Ducati adds new Star White Silk colour option to the Hypermotard 939 range for MY2018.
The 2018 Ducati Hypermotard 939 has been revealed. While it’s said to have a few mechanical upgrades, the main update on the motorcycle is a new paint scheme. For MY2018, the Hypermotard 939 will be offered with a new Star White Silk paint option with red frame and red wheels. Previously, the motorcycle was available in red colour with red frame and black wheels. That will continue to be offered.
Powering the Hypermotard range of motorcycles is a 937cc V-Twin engine that develops 108bhp and 95 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Hypermotard range comes with Ducati Safety Pack as standard, meaning it features 3-level ABS, 8-level Ducati Traction Control and 3 Riding Modes.
Suspension setup of the Hypermotard 939 includes Kayaba upside-down 43mm fork upfront and a Sachs shock with adjustable damping at the rear. The more potent Hypermotard 939 SP, on the other hand, comes with a fully adjustable Öhlins upside-down 50mm fork at the front and a fully adjustable Öhlins shock absorber at the rear wheel.
The updated Ducati Hypermotard should come to India as well, although there’s no official word on it. Expect its price to remain more or less unchanged from the current model, which retails at Rs 11.16 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
