Bajaj brings in 2018 models of the 220 Avenger Cruise and Street with cosmetic updates.
Bajaj has silently launched the updated 2018 model year versions of the Bajaj Avenger 220 in both Classic and Street guise. Both motorcycles get new headlamps with LED DRLs, although the Cruise and Street get differently styled lamps to keep with their character. Both these cruiser style motorcycles also get a new digital instrument cluster, the Cruise gets blue backlighting and the Street orange. The instrument cluster packs in two trip meters, a service reminder alongside a speedometer and fuel gauge. There is a tall shroud mounted above to ensure good visibility in the daytime.
The 2018 Bajaj Avenger Cruise gets a tall windscreen and a new Moon white paint scheme to complement its classic nature complete with a wire spoke 17 inch rim upfront and a 15 inch one at the back. The back rest also gets the Avenger insignia. The Street meanwhile goes more sporty with a matt black exhaust to complement its blacked out theme. There is a new grab rail and the seat has a new texture.
Both the new Bajaj Avenger Cruise and Street continue to remain mechanically identical to the earlier models with their 220cc single cylinder oil cooled engine developing 18.8 bhp of max power @ 8,400 rpm and 17.5Nm of peak torque @ 7,000 rpm.
Both the 2018 Bajaj Avenger Cruise and the 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street are priced at Rs. 93,466.
