New Volkswagen Tiguan Teased Ahead of Global Debut; to Get 15-inch Infotainment Screen
Volkswagen has teased the 2024 Tiguan ahead of its global premiere. The upcoming model is said to come with a range of improvements over the current version. It will first go on sale in Europe.
Volkswagen has teased the next-gen Tiguan for the international market ahead of its debut around autumn this year. The updated model will initially launch in Europe in 2024. According to the teasers, the new camouflaged SUV seems to be near the end of testing. In terms of improvements, the next-gen Tiguan will receive a significant design upgrade. Although the model was fully covered, still a few updates can be seen. As can be seen via images, the model with a new generational change, is less boxy than its current iteration. It gets a more rounded profile. The front end of the car is aggressive. The mid-sized SUV features new headlights, which could be ordered with HD Matrix units. It is flanked by a slimmer grille. Additionally, it is also expected to sport an LED light bar running the length of the front end, similar to modern VWs. 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan: What's New
Apart from the front design update, dimensions have also changed. According to Volkswagen, the SUV gets the same 2,681mm wheelbase, however, is now 32mm longer at 4,551mm and 5mm taller at 1,640mm. Volkswagen claims the next-gen SUV is more practical than before. It will get a cargo volume of 648 litre, which is 33 litre more than earlier. Additionally, there is an extra 9mm of headroom for the driver and front passenger and an extra 10mm for passengers in the back. The higher-spec models will likely have heated, ventilated, and 14-way electrically adjustable seats. Moving to the interior, some of the teaser photos show a touchscreen setup resembling a sizable tablet. It appears to be a 15-inch setup because it is the same as the one on the recently unveiled VW ID.7 electric car. Several industry reports have revealed that Volkswagen will replace the pop-out HUD setup of the outgoing version with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a brand-new windscreen head-up display.
2024 Volkswagen Tiguan: Powertrain
Volkswagen has not yet commented on the engines. The new model, however, will most likely be going to be offered with petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. According to reports, the PHEVs will have an electric range of up to 120 km. In addition, the 2024 version will be available in front- and all-wheel-drive setups.

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan: Market Availability
As previously indicated, the European market will be the first to get the redesigned model. In 2024, the new Tiguan will launch in Europe. It's too early to make a price comment. However, we expect the cost of the model to increase due to several improvements over the current version.
