Volkswagen India introduces Connect Edition models
Volkswagen has introduced the Passat Connect Edition following the introduction in the Polo, Ameo and Vento. Volkswagen Connect is designed to provide customers with telematics solutions which can enable various digital features in their vehicles.

Volkswagen Connect is designed to provide customers with telematics solutions which can enable various digital features in their vehicles. The system enables certain features, such as Trip tracking, Fuel cost monitor, Driving behaviour monitor, Location sharing, SOS emergency calling and Service appointment. This feature has now been integrated into Volkswagen India’s product range which include the Polo, Ameo, Ventro and the Passat.
All these four models now come with a variant called Connect Edition. The trim level in addition to the upgraded telematics also offers features such as Lapiz Blue colour, Moon stone coloured Radio surround trim, Glove box light, Rear USB charging port, 16“ Portago Grey Alloy wheels on the smaller Polo, Ameo and Vento models. Additionally, the Polo GT gets Chequered seat fabrics, while the regular Polo with the option will come equipped with leatherette wrapped seats. The Vento however, some with the additional options such as Dual front side airbags, 15“ Diamond cut wheels and a body coloured rear spoiler.
The Passat Connect Edition will come loaded with 9 Airbags, Hill Start Assist, Auto Hold, Reverse camera with 360⁰ area view, Park assist, App connect, ‘NAPPA’ leather seats, Dynamic chassis control, 3 zone Auto AC, Electric adjustable front seat, Full LED Headlamps with DRLs and LED tail-lamps and easy open boot in addition to the telematics upgrade.
The new telematics application can be used with Android or iOS devices and will be available in all 121 VW dealerships across 104 cities in India. The Polo is priced from Rs 5.55 – 9.39 lakh, the Ameo is priced between Rs 5.65 – 9.99 lakh, the Vento is priced from Rs 8.38 – 14.02 lakh while the Passat Connect Edition in priced from Rs 25.99 – 28.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. However, Volkswagen has not yet announced the same upgrade for the Tiguan SUV as yet.
