Toyota Rumion MPV Waiting Period Reaches up to 20 Months in India
As of November, the waiting period for the Toyota Rumion CNG version has been extended up to 78 weeks or up to roughly 20 months in India. This represents a massive increase from the 16-week (or 4-month) waiting duration that was in place last month.

A range of automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata Motors have revealed the waiting duration commanded by the majority of their popular models as of this month. The latest entrant on this list is one of the prominent Japanese manufacturers, Toyota. The brand has disclosed specific waiting periods for each of its cars. Notably, a waiting time of more than a year is in place for several Toyota vehicles. These include the recently released Rumion and the Innova Hycross MPVs. For now, here's a closer look at the waiting period for the Rumion MPV.

Toyota Rumion MPV: Waiting Period
As of November, the waiting period for the Toyota Rumion CNG version has been extended up to 78 weeks or up to roughly 20 months in India. This represents a massive increase from the 16-week (or 4-month) waiting duration that was in place last month. Whereas, prospective buyers who wish to purchase the petrol variants of the Rumion may have to wait up to 26 weeks (about 7 months) from the day of booking.
Toyota Rumion MPV: Exterior Highlights
Despite being based on the Ertiga, the new Rumion differs slightly from the well-known MPV in terms of appearance thanks to a few design elements. First off, the Rumion gets the same set of projector headlamps on either side but a new front grille with a mesh design. Both the front and rear bumpers have been altered in addition to the alloy wheels. A seven-seater variant of the model is also available. The MPV can be had in five exterior hues: Café White, Entycing Silver, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, and Spunky Blue.
Along with this, buyers have an array of options with six different variants of the new Rumion available for purchase, including S MT/AT, G MT, V MT/AT, and S MT CNG.
Toyota Rumion MPV: Engine and Gearbox
The Toyota Rumion is offered with the same 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine that powers the Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga. Notably, this mill makes use of Neo Drive (ISG) technology. The family MPV, like the Ertiga, boasts an efficient fuel economy of 20.5km/l, while the CNG variant, with a factory-installed CNG kit, delivers 26.11km/kg. To take care of the transmission duties, there is a 6-speed automatic transmission as well as a 5-speed manual gearbox available.
Toyota Rumion MPV: Features
With a dual-tone black and beige colour scheme, the Rumion's dashboard features faux wood inlays. A seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, and automatic climate control are a few more creature comforts.
To ensure the safety of the occupants, the MPV comes equipped with standard safety features such as side airbags, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
