Rally-inspired Toyota Land Cruiser J300 SUV Globally Unveiled with 409bhp V6 Engine

Toyota has unveiled a special edition version of the Land Cruiser J300 SUV in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Called the Land Cruiser 10th Victory Edition, it pays homage to Toyota's ten consecutive victories in the production car category at the Dakar Rally. The company also secured overall title wins in the 2019, 2022, and 2023 editions of the Dakar Rally, with the specially designed Hilux pickup.
Based on the Land Cruiser 300 Black Edition sold in the UAE, the 10th Victory Edition features blacked-out exterior elements, including a grille, mud flaps, a skid plate, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The special edition gets unique black and grey decals decorating the sides and rear bumper. Inside, however, the special edition model remains the same. It has a dual-tone black and beige cabin with a 9.0-inch infotainment system. Other interior bits include a leather steering wheel, fabric upholstery, and tri-zone climate control.

Toyota Land Cruiser 10th Victory Edition: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Toyota Land Cruiser 10th Victory Edition gets a 3.5-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine, which churns out 409bhp. This power is sent to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox and Toyota’s 4WD system.

The 10th Victory Edition is on sale exclusively in the UAE at AED 3,19,900 (roughly Rs 72.59 lakh). The price is far less than that of the regular Toyota Land Cruiser (Rs 2.10 crore, ex-showroom) sold in India. The Land Cruiser comes in a single fully loaded ZX variant, featuring all bells and whistles.
The features include a 12.3-inch free-floating touchscreen, a motorised tailgate, four-zone climate control, and power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation. For safety, it gets 10 airbags, multi-terrain ABS, traction control, hill-start assist, vehicle stability control (VSC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), parking support brake, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The vehicle is only offered with one engine option – a 3.3-litre V6 diesel engine, which makes 305bhp and 700Nm and is mated to a ten-speed automated transmission. In terms of market competition, the SUV takes on the Mercedes-Benz GLS, the BMW X7, and others in the segment.
