Toyota launches facelifted Camry Hybrid in India for Rs 41.7 lakh
The Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift gets refreshed styling at the front and back, along with a new design for its alloy wheels, a larger infotainment system and a few additional features to keep it fresh for 2022.
The facelifted Toyota Camry gets a host of small changes and a price hike of almost Rs 50,000 over the outgoing model.
The Camry has been Toyota’s flagship sedan in India for a while now, and this mid-cycle update to the eighth-gen Camry gives it some much needed equipment. There are pretty much no changes to the mechanicals of the Camry, which continues to use a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired to an electric motor to produce a combined 215bhp. That said, let’s take a look at what’s new on the Camry.
Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift: cosmetic changes
The new Camry gets a slightly refreshed front-end with a new grille, a new bumper and a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the Camry gets slightly darker inserts for the taillights and that’s about it. Toyota is also offering the facelifted Camry in a new shade, called Metal Stream Metallic. If you’re trying to tell the new Camry apart from the outgoing one, we’d advise you to get the magnifying glass out.
Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift: features
On the inside, the Camry now gets a larger 9-inch floating infotainment screen which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a new 9-speaker JBL sound system and a new trim for the dashboard.
Aside from this, the Camry’s feature list still includes ventilated front seats, plus a 10-way electronically-adjustable driver seat, a wireless charger, head-up display, three-zone climate control and a sunroof, among others. Safety kit includes 9 airbags, stability control, hill-start assist, traction control and an electronic parking brake.
Toyota Camry Hybrid facelift: pricing
The facelifted Camry Hybrid has been launched at Rs 41.7 lakh, and it will be available in just one, fully-loaded variant. In terms of rivals, the Camry Hybrid competes with the Skoda Superb, though it is substantially more expensive primarily due to its hybrid tech.
