Tata Punch EV Earns 5-Star Crash Test Safety Rating from Bharat NCAP: Watch Video
Tata Punch EV scored 31.46 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection and 45.00 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection in the Bharat NCAP crash test.
Tata Punch EV has achieved a 5-star rating in both adult and child protection in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, continuing the good work of the Harrier and Safari, which were the first vehicles to score 5 stars in these tests. In the test, the Tata Punch EV scored 31.46 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection and 45.00 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection. In terms of safety equipment, the Punch EV comes standard with six airbags, ABS, and ESC across all variants. Additional safety features include a blind spot monitor, ISOFIX mounts, and three-point seatbelts for all seats. The Tata Punch is the latest EV offering from the Indian manufacturer, with prices starting at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the new Acti.ev platform, which Tata Motors claims will underpin several new EV models over the next two years, including the highly anticipated Curvv and Sierra SUVs.

Tata Punch EV: Varients
The Punch EV comes in two battery options: a medium-range with a 25kWh battery that can travel up to 315 km on a single charge, or a long-range with a 35 kWh battery that goes up to 421 km. The Punch EV also comes in three variants (Smart, Adventure, and Empowered), with the top trim offering a sunroof.
Tata Punch EV: Design and Features
In terms of design, the Punch EV adopts a front fascia more aligned with the new Nexon EV, featuring a model-specific bumper, and redesigned headlamps with new LED signatures including a lightbar. However, it retains the same profile and rear-end design as its internal combustion counterpart.

In terms of features, the Tata Punch EV offers twin 10.25-inch screens—one for infotainment and another for instrumentation. The electric SUV also features a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, optional electric sunroof, jewelled rotary drive selector (exclusive to LR variants), ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, connected car technology, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charger, and air purifier.
Priced between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Punch EV competes directly with the Citroen eC3 in its segment.
