The Tata Punch EV is India's first and safest electric vehicle scoring a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test for adult occupant and child occupant protection.

Tata Punch EV scored 31.46 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection and 45.00 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection in the Bharat NCAP crash test.

Priced from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Tata Punch EV is positioned between the Tigor EV and the Nexon EV.

The all-new Tata Punch.ev is scheduled to go on sale on January 17 in the country. While the price announcement is less than two days away, let's take a closer look at what we know so far:

The electrified Punch from Tata Motors is anticipated to come with a price tag that ranges between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 16 Lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices.

Tata Punch ev is the second electric vehicle built on Tata's 'acti.ev' architecture after Nexon EV, which was launched last year.

The latest spy images of the Punch EV show a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, which can also be found in the cabin of the new Nexon EV lineup. Other interior features include automated headlights, a new rotary dial functioning as a gear selector, and more.

The electric version of the Tata Punch SUV is expected to make its market entry in India in October this year. In terms of pricing, it could range between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
