About Tata Cars
Tata Motors Limited was once known as TELCO, and began production of commercial vehicles in 1954, after having collaborated with Daimler-Benz AG. However, the partnership came to an end in 1969. Tata later launched the Sierra in 1991, followed by India’s home-grown passenger car – the Indica, in 1998.
