Skoda Kylaq SUV Could Offer These 5 Features Over its Rivals
Scheduled to mark its debut on November 6, the Skoda Kylaq is expected to be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Skoda Kylaq SUV, scheduled to mark its debut on November 6, is poised to make waves in the competitive SUV market, potentially offering several standout features that set it apart from its rivals. With a focus on practicality and innovation, the Kylaq is expected to deliver impressive interior space, advanced connectivity options, and a range of efficient engine choices. Additionally, it may come equipped with cutting-edge safety technology and versatile storage solutions that enhance everyday usability. As Skoda aims to combine functionality with style, the Kylaq promises to cater to the needs of modern families and adventure seekers. With these anticipated features, the Skoda Kylaq could redefine expectations in the SUV segment, appealing to a diverse audience of drivers. Here are five features that the Skoda model will offer over its competitors.
Larger Infotainment Touchscreen Unit
The upcoming Kylaq will likely come with a 10-inch touchscreen for its infotainment system, allowing for wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This represents a notable upgrade compared to its competitor, the Brezza, which offers a smaller nine-inch display and does not support wireless smartphone integration.
Enhanced Safety
Many manufacturers typically provide six airbags only in their premium models, but the Skoda Kylaq is expected to feature them as standard in all variants. Additionally, the Kylaq may offer various other safety technologies, including ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and Hill Hold Assist.
An 8-inch Digital Driver's Display
The Czech automaker is expected to include the same 8-inch fully digital driver's display found in the Kushaq and Slavia. In contrast, competitors such as the Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 300 feature larger 10.25-inch displays.
Single-pane Sunroof
A sunroof has become a sought-after feature for Indian consumers, and the Skoda Kylaq is anticipated to include a single-pane sunroof. However, this may put it at a disadvantage compared to the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 300, both of which offer larger panoramic sunroofs.
Other amenities in the feature suite may comprise three-point seat belts and reminders, USB Type-C charging ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic air conditioning with rear vents, an air purifier, and leatherette upholstery.
Power Adjustable Ventilated Front Seats
It has been recently confirmed that the new Kylaq will include 6-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation. This positions the Kylaq favourably against market rivals like the Brezza, which lacks this feature. The Maruti Suzuki model offers only manual seat adjustments and does not provide any ventilation options.

The SUV will feature a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 114bhp and peak torque of 178Nm. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The Skoda Kylaq is expected to be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against models such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. Additionally, it will go up against sub-4m crossovers like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Toyota Taisor.
