2023 Skoda Kodiaq Launched in India at Rs 37.99 Lakh
Skoda Auto India has updated the 7-seater Kodiaq SUV to meet the new BS6 Phase 2 norms, with prices starting at Rs 37.99 lakh. The spacious SUV was first introduced in India in 2017.
With prices now starting at Rs 37.99 lakh, Skoda India has updated the 7-seater Kodiaq SUV in accordance with the new BS6 Phase 2 norms. The spacious SUV was initially launched in our home market in 2017. The Kodiaq will continue to be imported into India via the CKD route and assembled at the company's Aurangabad plant. The company has also increased the Kodiaq's allocation for the country by more than 50%. The 2023 Kodiaq will now be offered in larger numbers, with 750 cars allotted every quarter, whereas the vehicle has only previously been made available in India in small quantities as a parts and components offering. For those unaware, three variants of the Kodiaq are offered: the Style, which starts at Rs 37.99 lakh, the Sportline, which costs Rs 39.39 lakh, and the L&K, which costs Rs 41.39 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

2023 Skoda Kodiaq: Powertrain and Performance
The Skoda Kodiaq has undergone updates to meet BS6 Stage 2 emission standards. It now has a 2.0-litre TSI EVO turbo-petrol engine delivering 187bhp of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque. The updated engine, according to Skoda, is 4.2 per cent more fuel-efficient than the outgoing one. The Kodiaq can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.8 seconds and has a 4x4 system. There are also six different driving modes available: Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, and Snow.
2023 Skoda Kodiaq: Interior Features
The Kodiaq will receive updates in 2023 that go beyond the engine. Several new features have been added to the Kodiaq for the 2023 model year to improve the driving experience. To avoid causing damage to the doors during opening or closing, the SUV now has door-edge protectors. In order to improve airflow, the vehicle also has a rear spoiler. The second row of the Kodiaq now has outer headrests for added comfort and safety, and passengers can now enjoy a lounge step that they can use to rest their feet.
Further, the SUV has adjustable suspension that can be raised or lowered by 15mm, progressive steering, and Dynamic Chassis Control, making it suitable for off-road use. A 2- or 3-spoke steering wheel, ambient lighting, and a potent Canton 625W 12-speaker audio system with a subwoofer are all standard features of the Skoda Kodiaq. Customers can also operate the vehicle's windows, door mirrors, and panoramic sunroof remotely.

2023 Skoda Kodiaq: Variants and Pricing Details
As mentioned before, the Skoda Kodiaq now has a starting price of Rs 37.99 lakh for the base Style variant, which is about Rs 50,000 more than the previous model. The driver-focused Sportline variant is now Rs 90,000 more expensive than the model from the previous generation, coming in at Rs 39.39 lakh. The Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant, which is at the top of the line, has a starting price of Rs 41.39 lakh, which is Rs 1.4 lakh more than the previous model. All prices are ex-showroom.
Commenting on the launch, Petr Šolc, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, stated, “The Kodiaq was our first ever foray into the full-size SUV fold, and it has been a resounding success internationally and in India. Though premium, it is a high-value luxury 4x4 that has seen much demand from Indian consumers because of the complete off-road luxury package it offers for the family. The increased allocation will ensure that the Kodiaq can now be enjoyed by more SUV customers who demand the best there is in terms of safety, luxury, and value with off-road ability."
The Kodiaq is Skoda's first seven-seater SUV, and the company has seen strong demand for it. According to the company, reservations for the most recent batch of 1,200 units were filled in less than 24 hours.
