New Renault Duster SUV in Dacia Guise Debuts with Updated Design and Modern Interiors Globally

Renault-owned company Dacia has uncloaked the third-generation Duster SUV for the global market. Called the Dacia Duster in some markets, the latest iteration of the model features numerous exterior and interior upgrades and has a rugged and sharp exterior design. The SUV features broad air intakes on the front bumper, a sharper grille, circular fog lamp housings, squared-off wheel arches, dual-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler incorporated into the roof. The SUV also gets Y-shaped LED DRLs with chrome inserts. It's worth noting that the Dacia version of the SUV has only been unveiled overseas, and the India-specific model is yet to make its debut. While there is no official confirmation, market reports suggest that the new Renault Duster SUV might be launched in India during the 2025 festive season. Renault Duster/Dacia Duster: Interior
The interior of the Dacia Duster has undergone a complete makeover, featuring a new dashboard layout and a new centre console. The updated dashboard now includes a 10.1-inch floating touchscreen, with AC vents positioned below, featuring Y-shaped inserts. In addition, the SUV now includes a fully digital instrument cluster behind a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel with several controls for various infotainment and driver assistance features. The SUV also gets ventilated front seats, wireless charging, automated climate control, a reworked gear selector lever, and more.
Renault Duster/Dacia Duster: Safety Suite
The Duster comes with various safety features such as an electronic parking brake, airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS).
Renault Duster/Dacia Duster: Powertrain and Other Details
The latest version of the Dacia Duster SUV is built on the CMF-B platform. It comes with three different engine options – a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with two electric motors, a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 48V starter motor, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG engine (in some markets).
The SUV will be available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, but it will only come with a 1.2-litre mild hybrid drivetrain. Additionally, it comes with Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand, off-road, and Eco terrain settings. The Duster 4x4 has a ground clearance of 217mm, an approach angle of 31 degrees up front, and a departure angle of 36 degrees, according to the brand.

Renault Duster/Dacia Duster: Availability
The new SUV is expected to be available for purchase overseas in early 2024. While there has been no official announcement, rumours on the internet suggest that the new-gen Duster may be available in India by 2025.
