New Renault Duster Spied Testing in India Ahead of Launch, Shows Dual-tone Alloy Wheels and More

The eagerly awaited new Renault Duster has been spotted testing on Indian roads, hinting at an exciting launch soon. The latest spy images reveal key design updates, including stylish dual-tone alloy wheels, distinctive C-shaped taillights, and an integrated spoiler, which lend a sporty and modern aesthetic to Renault's popular SUV. As a pioneering compact SUV in India, the Duster's redesign is expected to combine rugged styling with advanced features to compete with other popular models in its segment. While Renault has kept many details under wraps, the refreshed Duster is anticipated to include new safety and tech enhancements, making it a strong contender for those seeking a capable, feature-rich SUV with updated looks and performance capabilities.

New Renault Duster Spied: Major Highlights
The test vehicle spotted recently was heavily camouflaged, suggesting that the SUV is in the final stages of development. From the images, it is evident that the new Duster retains its rugged design with ample ground clearance. The SUV will be longer than its predecessor, measuring 4,340mm in length, though its wheelbase has been slightly reduced to 2,657mm. Coming to the design elements, the front end will feature major revisions, including narrow Y-shaped LED DRLs, a revamped bumper with vertical air vents, and integrated round fog lamps. At the rear, the SUV will sport C-shaped taillights and a modified bumper. Other highlights of the 2025 Duster include redesigned dual-tone alloy wheels, integrated spoiler, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, and roof rails.
New Renault Duster: Interior and Safety Suite
Talking about the cabin, the Duster will see a complete overhaul with an emphasis on upgraded features. Notably, the new model will offer a dual-screen setup, consisting of a 10.1-inch infotainment display and a 7.0-inch instrument cluster. The centre console will be angled toward the driver, while the overall dashboard layout will remain familiar. The SUV will boast an Arkamys 3D sound system with six speakers, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, multiple drive modes (Snow, Eco, Off-road, Mud/Sand, and Normal), and automatic climate control.
When it comes to safety, expect the Duster to offer multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, and ESC (electronic stability control). Furthermore, functions like object detection, lane change warning, traffic sign recognition with speed alert, and automatic emergency braking will likely come with the car's ADAS suite.

The model is available internationally with three engine choices: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. Additionally, a mild hybrid option is offered with two of these engines. It remains to be seen whether the carmaker will offer all these engine variants in the local model.

The third-generation Renault Duster will enter our home market soon, followed by its three-row variant. The regular version is expected to launch in the latter half of next year, while the three-row model is expected to arrive in 2026. Upon launch here, the new-gen model will take on the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
