Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Debuts in India; All You Need to Know
Porsche India showcased India's first 718 Cayman GT4 RS at its 'Festival of Dreams' event in Mumbai. While prices for the sports car start at Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom), the particular spec displayed at the event is priced close to Rs 3.2 crore (ex-showroom).
Porsche, the premium auto manufacturer, debuted the 718 Cayman GT4 RS in India for the first time on January 25 at its 'Festival of Dreams' event. Last year, the Volkswagen Group's German luxury car brand did a soft launch of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS in India, revealing its price tag of Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom). While prices for the sports car start at Rs 2.53 crore (ex-showroom), the model showcased at the event costs about Rs 3.2 crore (ex-showroom). The car is the most focused version of the Cayman yet. The 718 GT4 RS is a 718 model that is based on the Porsche 718 Cayman and is offered in a coupe body style only. The recently held event on January 25 in Mumbai commemorated the brand's 75th anniversary in the industry and was open to the public as well. Along with the highly anticipated Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the automaker also showcased other models in its Indian portfolio. These comprised the Porsche 718, the Taycan EV, the 911, and others.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS has a 4.0-litre flat-six engine that generates 493bhp of maximum power and 450Nm of peak torque. It churns out 78bhp of more power than the GT4. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission coupled to this engine. The 718 GT4 RS has a top speed of more than 315km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in less than 3.4 seconds.

A number of cutting-edge technologies are also included with the 718 Cayman GT4 RS, including Porsche's Track Precision app, which enables drivers to track and evaluate their lap times and driving abilities. The vehicle also has a sizable rear wing, which adds downforce and improves handling and stability at high speeds.
