The MG ZS EV has received a facelift this year which was first spotted in October last year at its global reveal. MG Motors has given the new MG ZS EV an all-new look. Exterior updates in the MG ZS EV include new alloy rims designed for better aerodynamics, taillights and reworked DRL-integrated headlights similar to MG's global design language as seen on the Astor. The most noticeable feature is the car's updated bumpers. The front end now gets a new electric body-coloured grille similar to most EVs and the charging port has been relocated from behind the MG badge to a separate compartment next to it.
MG ZS EV Interior Details
The MG ZS EV takes a lot of cues from the ICE variant MG Astor, not only on the outside but with the MG ZS EV's interior as well. This year, the MG ZS EV hasn't received a lot of updates inside the cabin, but it does get a fair share. The dashboard features a carbon fibre finished trim and equipment on the inside has been increased. The MG ZS EV features a 7.0-inch digital cluster in the driver's cockpit, while the dashboard gets a 10.1-inch infotainment screen. This is a significant update from the older variant's 8.0-inch screen and analogue instrumentation.
MG ZS EV Engine & Transmission
MG Motors had been working on improving the ZS EV's range for 2022 to keep it ahead of the competition and to that end, the car has received a new battery. The MG ZS EV now gets a 50.3 kWh battery mated to its Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor capable of now putting down 176PS and 353Nm. Previously, the MG ZS EV had a 44.5kWh battery pack that put down 144PS of power and claimed a range of 419kms. With this new battery, the MG ZS EV claims a higher range of 461kms while putting down more power as well. However, the torque figure in the MG ZS EV has come down to 280Nm from a previous 353Nm.
MG ZS EV Features
The MG ZS EV is futuristic and feature-loaded. Among its vast list of features, the MG ZS EV gets a panoramic sky roof overhead. The car also benefits from fully digital instrumentation and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, five USB ports including two Type C ports, automatic climate control and air filtration. The MG ZS EV safety features don't lag behind either. It also gets top-end safety features such as six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and electronic stability control (ESC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) to name a few. The latest variant of the MG ZS EV gets updated i-Smart connected car tech, and the interior benefits from further features like wireless charging and a digital Bluetooth key.

The 2022 MG ZS EV received a launch price of ₹22 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) for its base Excite variant and ₹25.88 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) for its top-end Exclusive variant. While both the variants had been launched, the top-end Exclusive hits showrooms only July 2022 onwards.
