MG Motor India has reduced the price of the Hector Plus by up to Rs 1.37 lakh in India. The diesel version of the SUV has seen the biggest price drop. Following the latest price revision, the Hector Plus SUV's cost now ranges between Rs 17.50 lakh and Rs 22.43 lakh (ex-showroom).
At the Auto Expo 2023, MG Motor India officially launched the updated MG Hector and MG Hector Plus. For all variants, the MG Hector Plus currently commands a waiting period of up to eight to twelve weeks throughout India. The waiting time varies according to the variant and dealership's location.
MG Hector Plus received a facelift back in January. A month later it was also introduced with a new CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) option for the petrol buyers. At the time of launch the CVT transmission was priced above the petrol variant equipped with the DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission)
With the Style variant no longer on sale, the Super trim is now the entry point into the MG Hector Plus. At the time of launch in July, the Hector Plus Super was priced at Rs 15.65 lakh
Launched only in the 6-seater variant as of now, the MG Hector Plus is priced starting Rs 13.49 lakh for the base Style variant. The Hector Plus is offered in three variants and gets the same engine options as its namesake.
At the time of the launch, the MG Hector Plus will only go on sale in the six-seater variant – the 7-seater option will be introduced later. Booking for the Hector Plus commenced earlier this week.
Ahead of the launch this month, MG has opened its order books for the new & upcoming Hector Plus SUV. Bookings can be made at MG's website for an amount of ₹50,000. MG has also revealed the variant & trim options for the Hector Plus.
The MG Hector Plus is longer than the 5-seater variant by 40mm thereby making space for an additional row of seating. Powertrain options will remain the same as the Hector – a 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre petrol
