MG Hector Plus Engine and other Specifications

This MG car comes in two engine trims, the first one is a 1.5L Turbocharged Intercooled petrol engine developing a maximum power of 141bhp at 5000 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm at 1600 rpm. The other option is a 2.0L Turbocharged Intercooled diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 168bhp at 3750 rpm and peak torque of 350 Nm at 1750 rpm. These engines have the configurations of four inline cylinders, each with four valves operated through a dual overhead camshaft. Further, the ARAI-claimed MG Hector Plus mileage has been stated to be 16 km/l, although it might differ slightly from the real-world mileage.

Speaking of other specifications, the diesel-engine variants come with a six-speed manual transmission system only while the petrol-engine variants come with automatic (CVT) transmission also. On the suspension and drivetrain front, it gets Mcpherson strut with coil spring in the front suspension, beam assembles with coil spring in the rear, tilt & telescopic steering column, 17-inch or 18-inch (depending upon the variant) alloy wheels with 215mm wide radial tyres, and all-disc brakes.

On the technology front, The MG Hector Plus features i-Smart technology to provide a seamless driving experience with 75+ connected car features and an ADAS that provides driving convenience with the help of intelligent headlamp control, adaptive cruise control, traffic Jam assist, lane departure warning, etc.
