MG Comet EV to Come With Gamer-Inspired Seats and Interior Accents
Under the partnership agreement between MG Motor India and Naman Mathur (or gamer MortaL), the new Comet electric vehicle will have a dark colour scheme and feature the gamer-inspired front seats/interior accents.
MG Motor India has officially entered into a partnership with Naman Mathur, better known as gamer MortaL for the upcoming MG Comet EV. Under the partnership, the new Comet electric vehicle will get the gamer-inspired front seats/interior accents and have a dark colour scheme, as per the renders shared by the company. Mathur will be responsible for designing the gamer-inspired edition of the Comet EV. The collaboration will enhance the mobility experience with MG's unique auto-tech proposition and redefine the possibilities of design and technology integration, according to the press statement. The upcoming MG Comet electric vehicle, designed for city commute, is claimed to have a reduced carbon impact. It will be based on the Wuling Air EV, which is currenly on sale on Indonesia. Exterior-wise, it will have a boxy appearance and ride on aerodynamic 13-inch wheels. Measuring only 2,900mm in length, the MG Comet EV is even more compact than the Tata Nano.

New MG EV Comet: Engine, Battery
The all-new Comet electric car is expected to come packed with two Wuling Air EV battery options - 17.3kWh and 26.7kWh. The former battery pack will have a claimed driving range of 200 kilometre, while the latter will deliver a driving range of 300 kilometre (on a single charge). Its battery will be paired with an electric motor producing about 45bhp of maximum power and 90Nm of peak torque. While the larger 26.7kWh with electric motor is good enough to churn out 50bhp of power and 110Nm of torque.
New MG EV Comet: Interior, Features
In recent news, the company officially teased the interior of the new MG Comet electric vehicle ahead of its launch in the home market. According to the teaser, the Comet EV features a two-spoked steering wheel with two control sets on either side. Then, the dashboard gets a dual-screen arrangement with two 10.25-inch screens. The compact car has two horizontally positioned AC vents under the screen.
As for its features, the MG Comet EV is likely to come with an electric parking brake, hill-start assistance, keyless entry and ignition, drive modes, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and other connected car technologies. Despite the anticipation, the company has not disclosed details about the features as of now.

New MG EV Comet: Price and Rivals
The all-new MG Comet EV will go on sale shortly in the country (April, 2023). It will be positioned below the ZS EV model. Prices of the Comet EV could range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Once launched, it is expected to lock horns with the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.
