MG Comet EV Prices Revised in India, Check New Price List Here
Based on SAIC's Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform, the MG Comet EV is priced from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.37 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom.
MG has increased the prices of its compact Comet EV by Rs 11,000–Rs 13,000, depending on the variant selected. The price hike comes nearly three months after MG rejigged the model line-up with the addition of a faster charging option for the city commuter. The MG Comet Exclusive FC (fast charger) sees the highest price hike of Rs 13,000, while the Excite FC and Exclusive variants of the EV are dearer by Rs 11,000 and Rs 11,800, respectively. MG Comet: Battery, Range
The Comet EV gets a rear axle-mounted electric motor which develops 41bhp and 110Nm of peak torque. Powering this motor is a 17.3kWh battery pack with an ARAI-certified range of 230km. The top speed is marked at 100km/h. A larger 7.4kW AC fast-charging option is also available, which can charge the vehicle in less than 3.5 hours compared to a slower 3.3kW AC charger. The latter charges the Comet EV from 0 to 100 per cent in seven hours.
MG Comet: Features
The feature list of the two-door electric vehicle includes dual 10.25-inch screens, an illuminated MG emblem, a 12-volt charging socket, and a two-spoked steering wheel with pod-like controls. For safety, you get a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child mounts, dual front airbags, and 3-point seat belts for both the front and rear seats.
In the Indian market, the MG car ranges between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 9.37 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in five colour options – Candy White, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Apple Green with Starry Black, and Candy White with Starry Black.

While the Comet EV has no direct rival in the market, it faces some competition from the entry-level Tata Tiago EV (with 19.2kWh battery).
