MG has not yet confirmed its plans to introduce the updated Astor with a hybrid powertrain in India. The price of the existing iteration in India ranges between Rs 9.98 lakh and Rs 17.90 lakh (both, ex-showroom).
The updated MG Astor will make its global debut on August 28 2024. The biggest talking point about the new MG Astor, which goes by the name ZS in select markets, is its hybrid powertrain, including an Atkinson cycle petrol mill and an electric motor.
MG (Morris Garages) has increased the prices of its Astor SUV by up to Rs 38,000, affecting the Sharp Pro and Savvy Pro variants.
In the Indian market, the MG Astor faces stiff competition from models such as the Hyundai Creta and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Ranging from Rs 9.98 lakh to Rs 17.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated MG Astor SUV is available in five variants: Sprint, Shine, Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro.
The MG Astor Black Storm Edition has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 14.48 lakh. In terms of market rivalry, the model has rivals in the form of the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition, Skoda Kushaq Matte Edition, Kia Seltos X Line, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Midnight Black.
The MG Astor SUV is available in 5 different trims - Style, Super, Smart, Sharp, and Savvy. As for its pricing, the Astor SUV retails between Rs 10.82 lakh and ₹18.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
