MG Cars in India

In the next decade, all MG cars were extolled for their solid performance, looks, and features. So much so that Prince Charles himself bought the MGC during his university days. Between 1980 and 2000, the company produced five-door hatchbacks with impeccable driving dynamics.

In the early 2000s, the automaker made its presence felt in the motoring world by producing a number of capable vehicles. The company joined hands with the China-based SAIC Motors in 2007, which later gave way to the debut of MG cars India. In 2019, the automaker kickstarted their first production plant in Gujarat. Consequently, the company launched its first car for the Indian market – the MG Hector – in mid-2019. After having received a lot of praise in the Indian market, the company now plans to expand the production and their vehicle portfolio.
