1. 29 July 2024: Maserati launches the Grecale SUV in India at a starting price of 1.31 Crores.

Maserati Grecale Engine and Transmission

This car comes with two types of engine options. A 3000cc engine with a six V-shape cylinder and four-valve per cylinder configuration powers the top variant. It develops a peak power and torque of 523bhp at 6500 rpm and 620 Nm at 3000 rpm, respectively.

Speaking of other variants, they are powered by a 1995cc engine with four inline cylinders and a four-valve per-cylinder configuration. This engine generates a maximum of 296bhp at 5750 rpm and up to 450 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. The car gets an eight-speed automatic (TC) transmission system to transfer the power to the wheels.

The top variant – Grecale Trofeo – is capable of achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration within 3.8 seconds. Its top speed has been claimed to be 177 km/h. The other variants achieve the same acceleration in 5.6 seconds on their way to the top speed of 149 km/h.

This Maserati SUV is equipped with air suspensions having reduced rigidity that offer optimum comfort and driving pleasure. It rides on 19/20-inch alloy wheels with 235-255mm front tyres and 235-2958mm wide rear radial tyres. It gets all disc brakes, offering precise stopping and controlling power.

The front end of the Grecale flaunts a signature grille with vertical slats and a brand logo. The headlamps look a bit like a wedge and incorporate striking daytime running lights. The wheels feature a multi-spoke design and the windows are surrounded by black claddings. The front fender exhibits brand lettering and the rear view mirrors are dual-toned. The rear profile showcases sleek-striking tail lights, a high-mounted stop lamp, and a bold rear bumper.

The cabin of this car is furnished with plush ventilated seating with 10-way adjustable front seats. The rear seats are also two-way adjustable. It boasts a dual-zone automatic air conditioner, power outlets, and a leather-wrapped steering with an electric tilt and telescopic column. The sound system is innovative and offers a 360-degree music experience.

The Grecale interior includes an analogue-digital instrument cluster with two trip meters and a speedometer among others. The SUV also gets a touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a GPS navigation system, voice command system, and USB compatibility.

On the safety front, this luxury SUV has an over-speed warning feature and an emergency brake light flashing. It gets six airbags, rear middle three-point seatbelts, seat belt warnings, child seat anchorages, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Additionally, an adaptive cruise control system, active lane management system, and active driving assist are also optionally available.
