Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Engine and Other Specifications

This Mini SUV is powered by BS6, 998cc, K10C engine having three inline cylinders with four valves per cylinder fitted on a dual overhead camshaft (DOHC). As this car is offered with CNG and Petrol Fuel compatibility, it gives different bhp and torque outputs depending upon the vehicle’s fuel type requirements. The S-Presso-CNG variant churns out a maximum power of 56bhp at 5300 rpm and a torque of 82.1Nm at 3400 rpm. On the other hand, the Petrol variant puts out a maximum of 66bhp at 5500 rpm and maximum torque of 89 Nm at 3500 rpm.

This car is available with automatic and manual transmission systems, depending upon the variant selected, with five gears and a front-wheel drivetrain. The ARAI claimed CNG mileage is 32.73 km/kg and petrol mileage is 25.3 km/l; the real-world mileage would obviously differ from these figures, on the basis of traffic conditions and driving style. The S-Presso specifications also include a front suspension having Mac Pherson strut with coil spring, rear suspension having a Torsion beam with coil spring, ventilated front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, electric steering, and a fuel tank with a capacity of 27 litres.

The exterior design of the car flaunts SUV-inspired front facia, twin chamber headlamps, signature C-shape tail lamps, square-shaped wheel arches, power-adjustable and body-colored exterior rear view mirror, B-pillar black-out tape, side body cladding, body-colored bumpers, and full wheel covers. Additionally, it consists of a roof-mounted power antenna and 14-inch steel rim wheels with 165mm radial tubeless tyres.

The S-Presso interior boasts a dynamic centre console, high seating for a better drive view, colored centre garnish, a front cabin lamp, and sun visors for the driver and co-driver. From the comfort point of view, it has AC with heater, accessory power socket, front and rear console utility space, reclining and sliding front seats, remote keyless entry, rear parcel tray, power windows in the front, and idle start stop button.

The car interior also encompasses Smart Play Studio in a 17.78 cm touchscreen infotainment system with apple car and android auto connectivity, two speakers, USB and aux connectivity, and steering-mounted audio control. Apart from these, it includes a digital instrument cluster, fuel consumption information trait, headlamp-on warning feature, gear shift indicator, and distance to empty attribute.

The S-Presso car is built on a HEARTECT platform which is claimed, by the manufacturer, to have been designed with the aim of occupants’ safety. Apart from this, the car is loaded with advanced hill hold assist, electronic stability program (ESP), ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution System) which all together help to keep the vehicle stable, skid-resistant, and balanced in all terrain areas.

This car is also equipped with dual airbags for front seat occupants, rear seat belts, child safety locks, power door locks, seat belt warning trait, and door ajar warning features.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Price and Variants

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is available in eight variants; Std, LXi, VXi, VXi Plus, VXi (O) AMT, LXi S-CNG, VXi Plus (O) AMT, and VXi S-CNG, and each differs slightly from the features of others. Most variants are sold in six colors which are Solid Fire Red, Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Metallic Granite Grey, Metallic Silky Silver, and Solid White.
