New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Spied for the First Time in India, Shows New Alloy Wheel Design, Taillamps and More
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will get the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine as the 2024 Swift. It will go on sale soon after the arrival of the 2024 Swift hatchback in the country.
In 2024, Maruti Suzuki plans to launch at least three new models in the Indian market, with one among them being the fourth-generation Dzire. While the company has yet to reveal the launch details, we expect the new Dzire to go on sale after the arrival of the 2024 Swift in our market.
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire: What to Expect
However, it's known that the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been in the works, and it will be based on its hatchback sibling, the Swift – which will likely be launched in the coming weeks. There will be updates to the exterior of the new Dzire, as suggested by a fresh set of spy shots. While it is expected to borrow styling cues from the new Swift (front fenders, bonnet, platform, and door handles), the all-new Dzire's rear end will be characterised by a pair of new tail lamps, a revised bumper, a different-looking roofline, a boot with a flat floor, as well as a new tailgate. In profile, the updates will be rather minimal – a new design for alloy wheels; but, size-wise, they will likely be the same.
In the spy shots, the front end is not visible; however, expect the 2024 Dzire to come with a massive grille, a tweaked bumper, and more. Coming to its features, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire will likely get an updated dashboard dominated by a new 9.0-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto as well as the same 360-degree camera as the Fronx. Other bits could be cruise control, automatic climate control, electric parking brake with auto-hold function, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, and blind spot monitor. As far as safety goes, expect the new sedan to offer six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a reverse parking camera with parking sensors.
Mechanically, the new Dzire will get the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine as the 2024 Swift. This engine, which belts out 89bhp and 113Nm of peak torque, will come mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT unit. Expect the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire to cost between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the likes of the Tata Tigor, the Hyundai Aura, and the Honda Amaze.
