2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Launched at Rs 6.79 Lakh in India
The much-anticipated 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has officially been launched in India. It is powered by a new 1.2-litre Z Series naturally aspirated (NA) petrol mill, which can be paired with a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission.
The much-anticipated 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has officially been launched in India, just a week after its unveiling. The price begins at Rs 6.79 lakh (base variant) and goes up to Rs 10.14 lakh (top-spec variant). Prices are ex-showroom, introductory. The car will also be offered on a subscription basis starting at Rs 18,248/month. The updated version of the popular compact sedan comes with significant design changes and feature upgrades, aimed at enhancing its appeal in the competitive Indian market. With a refreshed exterior, improved interior features, and more advanced technology, the new Dzire is expected to maintain its position as a strong contender in its segment. Recently, the model also received a perfect 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP, becoming the first Maruti Suzuki car to achieve this milestone.
The 2024 Dzire is now available for bookings, which can be made at Maruti Arena showrooms across India or through the brand's website, for a token amount of Rs 11,000.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Variants and Colour Options
As far as variants are concerned, there are four options: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Moreover, prospective customers can choose from seven appealing paint jobs: Bluish Black, Arctic White, Gallant Red, Splendid Silver, Nutmeg Brown, Magma Grey, and Alluring Blue.
The new-gen Dzire continues with the Heartect platform, therefore, the car's dimensions remain largely unchanged. The compact sedan measures 3,995mm in length, 1,735mm in width, and 1,525mm in height, making it 10mm taller than the old-gen Dzire. It also has a wheelbase of 2,450mm.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Styling Updates
The revamped Maruti Suzuki offering looks almost entirely different from the Swift, with distinctive design changes. It boasts angular headlamps with horizontal DRLs, a wider grille with multiple horizontal slats, reworked alloy wheels, and a more pronounced shoulder line. Additional features include updated fog lamp housings, a shark fin antenna, a boot lid spoiler, and Y-shaped LED taillights connected by a prominent chrome strip.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Powertrain Details
The refreshed Dzire is driven by the new 1.2-litre Z Series naturally aspirated (NA) petrol mill, which can be paired with a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission. This engine generates 80bhp of maximum power and 112Nm of peak torque. Additionally, a CNG option is available on select variants, producing 68bhp and 102Nm. As for fuel efficiency, the manual version of the Dzire is rated at 24.79km/l, while the automatic variant offers 25.71km/l. The CNG model is certified to deliver a mileage of 33.73km/kg.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Interior and Safety Features
The interior of the latest-generation Dzire features a dashboard layout similar to the Swift. However, it comes with a black and beige colour scheme, complemented by faux wood inserts on the dashboard. As noted earlier, the 2024 version brings a host of upgrades over its predecessor. These include a nine-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, and compatibility with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Furthermore, it features rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports, and introduces segment-first amenities like a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an electric sunroof.
On the safety front, the model is loaded with features such as six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all occupants, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
In terms of market rivalry, the Dzire will compete with the Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura. Notably, Honda is set to introduce the new-gen Amaze next month.
