I buy New maruti Alto k10 before 3years .and now car doors getting rust very badly and I complained maruti so many times for  the same and they neglect this is not manufacturers fault .

Third class steel used by maruti now these days .

So I recommend pls don't buy any vehicle of maruti Suzuki.

I got my Alto back from the workshop after regular servicing. While driving back home, suddenly the fuel meter needle went to zero. Every other meter is working properly. Also got the fuel checked in the car, it was still there. Will get it checked at the workshop soon.

This has happened 2-3 times now. After heavy rain, I notice that some water gets collected in both the headlights. There is no crack or any other damage on them to allow water to go inside. No other option other than getting them replaced.

My car is only one-year-old and already I have noticed some rust spots on the door edges. This used to be a problem on very old cars but sadly, Maruti is doing a lot of cost cutting it seems. I will have to get the doors repainted in order to stop the rusting from spreading further.

A dog collided with my car while driving on the highway. I was driving only at 70 kmph and still, the impact broke the front bumper and grille completely. One headlight is also cracked. This means Alto parts are very weak and are not strong enough for heavy crashes. Disappointed.

Alto is a well-balanced car in my opinion. It does not offer much space so it might be difficult for families to manage the car but for someone like me who uses the car alone, it is very useful. Big thumbs-up for convenience and ease of use.

There is a lot of engine vibration when the car goes above 90-95 kmph. Those vibrations filter into the cabin by the floor, pedals and even the gear lever. The Alto seems to be unrefined despite Maruti’s best efforts. Still scope for improvement.

What a powerful AC! Ever since I have started using the Alto, I have to switch the AC on only for a few minutes simply because it is so powerful. The car remains cool for a good amount of time after the AC is switched off. Good for mileage too!

For the past few days, the car automatically comes into neutral while driving. I put it back into ‘D’ and then again, after a few minutes, the same thing happens. I cannot figure out if the gearbox is faulty or there is some wiring issue. Have to get it to the workshop as soon as possible.

After 10-15 days of buying and using my Alto, the left window stopped working completely. The local mechanic informed that the switch and relay are functioning properly and so the motor needs to be checked. Workshop informed that the there was a fault in the motor and so they changed it under warranty. However, I had to leave the car at the workshop for three days as the part was not in stock.

The new K10 engines are not very durable as after 2 years of use, the engine has become quite rough to use. Not suitable for harsh driving conditions.

AMT is the only good feature on my car. Other things are very basic, based on the cost of the car. I do wish there were some more driver-friendly features in top variant. Much scope for improvement.

Tyres and brakes are not good compared to the speeds the car can reach. My advice to Alto owners is to get new tyres immediately as they have no grip on wet roads as well.

Company claims the old car is bigger than the old one but inside the space is same as before. Back seat can only fit 2 adults max. Boot is wide but small, compared to other hatchbacks in the market.

When driving on highway, car feels very light and the brakes also don’t help. On rough roads suspension makes clattering sound and it is inadequate when the car is full of people. For individual city use only.

Car feels very unrefined, which a Maruti is not supposed to be. Outside noises come into the cabin a lot and quality of fittings is not so good either. After one year, doors of my car make noise when closing or opening.

Features and interiors in the new car are good value for money. Car feels nice to sit in and there is good space inside. Good small car from Maruti.

Car has decent space inside; two tall people can sit easily on the back seat. The seats are very flat, feels like a bench seat cut into 2 pieces. Not very comfortable specially for long journeys.

Alto is quite old and the new one should have been very different from the old car but it has only changed from the outside. Car still drives like the old one, no difference.

I was very happy with the previous Alto and this one is even better than that one. I purchased the CNG version and it is giving me very good mileage. Overall Maruti quality as usual.

Happy to see modern technology even in small Maruti cars. Automatic gears are smooth and helpful in traffic use. Mileage is still decent, comparable to manual car.

I totally agree that the K10 is a great car. A perfect pocket rocket. Great performance and efficiency. I have had my car for 5 years and it is absolutely reliable and problem free. I live in the hills and conditions can get demanding, but the K10 soldiers on without any fuss. Maruti needs to make great small cars like this and the Zen once again!

The Alto K10 fits my budget and I feel it is a great car all around. Just that its too ugly from the outside, when will Maruti take out a new and better looking K10? I have the money but can’t bring myself to buy this car. And there is no alternative really.
