Mahindra XUV.e8 SUV Interior Spied with Triple Screen Setup Ahead of India Launch
The new Mahindra XUV.e8 is expected to go on sale in India by the end of the year, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 35 lakh.
Mahindra is set to expand its EV portfolio in India with a range of models, including the XUV.e8, which is an electrified version of the ICE-powered XUV700. However, before this highly-anticipated release, the car's interior has been spotted, showing some notable features like a large triple-screen setup. As shown in the images, the triple-screen arrangement is a single unit that spans the dashboard. It comprises a front passenger display, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a fully digital colour instrument panel. The SUV is also expected to have a Nexon-like two-spoke steering wheel and a typical automatic gear knob for drive selector modes. While Mahindra hasn't announced anything, industry rumours suggest that the XUV700-based electric SUV will hit our streets by the end of the year, with an estimated price tag of 35 lakh (ex-showroom). Let's look at the model's other possible features.

Mahindra XUV.e8: Key Highlights
According to the design patents, the production-ready version of the SUV will share many of its features with the concept, such as inverted L-shaped LED projector headlamps, and an LED lightbar that spans the width of the car. The SUV is also expected to sport flush-fitting door handles, new alloy wheels, and curved-looking LED taillamps.
The XUV.e8 will be similar to the XUV700, with a row configuration. However, dimensionally, the electrified SUV will measure 4,740mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,760mm in height, which is about 45mm longer, 10mm wider, and 5mm taller than its ICE sibling.
Although Mahindra hasn't disclosed anything, the upcoming electric XUV700 is likely to have an 80kWh battery pack, an all-wheel-drive system, and a two-motor setup. The power figures could range between 230bhp and 345bhp. The SUV's range is anticipated to vary from 450 to 500 kilometres.
In terms of market rivalry, the SUV will compete with a range of upcoming cars such as the Hyundai Creta EV, the Tata Harrier EV, and the Maruti Suzuki eVX.

Other Developments
Another Mahindra's upcoming EV, the BE.05, was seen testing with a large glass roof last month. The electric SUV is expected to retain the concept form's design features, including C-shaped LED DRLs. It is also likely to have flush door handles, large aero wheels, low-profile tyres, all-four-disc brakes, and a race-inspired twin spoiler. Similar to the XUV.e8, the BE.05 will be underpinned by the company's new EV-specific INGLO platform.
