The new Mahindra XUV.e8 is expected to go on sale in India by the end of the year, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 35 lakh.

Mahindra had previously stated that an 80kWh battery pack and all-wheel drive would be standard on the XUV.e8. Power output could vary from 230bhp to as much as 350bhp.

New spy images of the XUV.e8 have surfaced online, providing details about the exterior and interior layout of the electric SUV. The XUV.e8 will likely have a fully revamped interior. The car's steering wheel has two spokes and is comparable to the facelifted Tata Nexon that recently went on sale.

The upcoming Mahindra XUV.e8 Electric is an electric derivative of the standard Mahindra XUV700. It will come with an all-wheel-drive system and will use an 80kWh battery pack, powering an RWD single motor or an AWD twin-motor configuration.

Mahindra's next line of electric cars will be built on the INGLO platform. The new electric platform is both versatile and adaptive. Mahindra indicated there might be RWD single motor and AWD dual motor setups with a variety of battery sizes from 60 kWh to 80 kWh.
