Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo+ in India, with a seating capacity for nine passengers. The SUV is available in two variants: the P4 and the high-end P10, priced at Rs 11.39 lakh and Rs 12.49 lakh, respectively. Both are ex-showroom prices. The Bolero Neo+ has no direct rivals in India, however, it can be viewed as an affordable alternative to models such as the Mahindra Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N in the segment. The SUV is available in three distinct exterior paint options: Majestic Silver, Diamond White, and Napoli Black. It is equipped with multiple safety features like automatic door locks, engine immobilizer, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats. Read on more about the SUV, which is a bigger, three-row, nine-seater version of the standard Bolero Neo.
Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Design
The Neo+ resembles the standard Bolero Neo, except for some minor design changes such as an updated front bumper with fog lights, a bull bar design, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The recently launched nine-seater SUV is larger than its conventional counterpart, measuring 4400mm in length—which is 405mm more than the Bolero Neo—while maintaining the same wheelbase.
The Neo+ shares an X-shaped spare wheel cover with the Bolero Neo at the back, but it includes a few subtle enhancements like a rounder appearance and a bit modified rear bumper appearance.
Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Interior and Features
Inside, the most notable feature of the extended SUV is a three-row layout of seats in a 2-3-4 format. The last row includes two side-facing seats. In terms of features, the Bolero Neo+ is equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Aux, and USB connectivity. However, this display is not compatible with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. The SUV also includes manual air conditioning, front and rear power windows, a 6-speaker sound system, a height-adjustable driver's seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and front seat armrests.
Mahindra Bolero Neo+: Engine
The Bolero Neo+ is propelled by the acclaimed 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine from the Scorpio series, which has been adjusted to produce 118bhp and 280Nm. It is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox that transmits power to the rear wheels. In contrast, the Bolero Neo has a smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 98.6bhp. The Neo+ lacks the mechanical locking differential but retains the ladder-frame chassis of its standard sibling.
